Lubrication

The Missile LXQ Series Hammers are precision-made tools and should be treated as such. Only the highest quality lubrication should be used and a constant flow of oil must be maintained at all times. Recommended lubrication amount 1 Pint per 100 cfm per hour.

Recommended Grades of Lubricant

ESSO
MATEX
CASTROL
SHELL
MOBILE
AROX EP 150
RDO 302
RD OIL DP 100
AIR TOOL OIL S2 A 320

Heavy duty oil is recommended for all year-round use, in particular where air supply to the hammer is at high temperature. If lighter grade oil is required due to very low ambient temperatures, amount of oil being used should be increased by 30 percent.

Missile Warranty will be voided by the following:

  1. Welding on Wear Sleeve.
  2. Heating Case with a Torch.
  3. Gripping Wrenches across Threads.
  4. Hammering on Casing.
